Creative Writing is the newest discipline to be added to the Arts Access Program. The sessions have grown from the beginning weekly explorative ones to the present ones in which a variety of projects are created. A young man who never thought that he could write has produced the journey of a longterm relationship, how he coped with its ending, and what he learned about himself from that experience. Another participant worked through his fear of writing poetry and has said "I envision my mouth as a pen and every phrase I say is being written in the air". His name is T.J Spadafranca and this is one of his poems:

Balmy
Fireball
Spirit-filled
Excited about life
Jumps up and down like a red hot jumping bean
It feels like he's on a soft cloud
Kind of tall
Surrounded by robes of white
Swaying over him
With voices like unified bells
Sweet aroma coming out of the air
Like the powerful perfume
Of a purple rose
Aromatic
Depth to the smell.

Many other projects are being generated by the group which acts as a supportive creative incubator—giving each other ideas and positive feedback on the writing brought into the sessions.
