Arts Access Receives Citation of Excellence from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts

The Arts Access Program has received a Citation of Excellence from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts for excellence in artistic quality, programming, and public service in the arts. Additionally, the Museum has been designated a Major Arts Organization by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts in recognition of its solid history of excellence in these areas. To present the awards and acknowledge the importance of the work of MAM, State Arts Council leadership was joined by Secretary of State Nina Mitchell Wells and members of the New Jersey State Legislature at the State House Annex on March 13, 2008.

A Citation of Excellence, among the State Arts Council's most prestigious marks of distinction, is conferred to grant applicants receiving the highest peer panel evaluation through the grant application process. Major designation is based upon peer panel review of organizations through the grant application process and is in addition to funding awarded by the Council.
